2025 Scholarship Winners

At Barbara and Bobby Price Legacy Fund, we believe that investing in education is the surest way to empower future leaders. Our scholarship programs, rooted in the spirit of legacy and leadership, are designed to support students who not only excel in the classroom but also demonstrate a deep commitment to service and personal growth. Eugenie K. - 2025 Price Legacy Scholarship Winner

"Winning this scholarship would provide the financial support I need to continue my college journey and help others. It would allow me to expand initiatives like Whitestone Volleyball, bringing more joy and inclusivity to children with special needs. More importantly, it would support my goal of becoming an accountant who prioritizes community impact and financial transparency."

Jana O. - 2025 Bobby Joe Price Scholarship Winner

"I am a rising freshman at university, however Kansas school districts have struggled to provide students with STEM curricula. Through continual budget cuts and lacking course offerings, I felt unprepared to enter any STEM field. I hope to accelerate my learning by taking summer courses at a local university to prepare for the intense rigor I will face at an Ivy League institution. I do not want my ambitions to be chained down by a weak foundation in chemistry, mathematics, or programming.

My larger life goals are to work on AI research in industry. I would like to contribute to solving the alignment crisis, and leverage technology to bridge global infrastructure issues in third world countries. Being natively Egyptian, I grew up with weekly power outages and lacking access to water. My sincerest wish is to leave a more equitable world in access to education and resources. I hope to accelerate my education for this purpose."

Karen Y. - 2025 Barbara Price Scholarship Winner

"My dream is to become a pediatrician. Coming from an immigrant single-income family, paying for college and medical school requires resilience and determination. I have worked tirelessly to receive a near-perfect grade in every assignment. Achieving my dream requires a successful undergraduate education, which is not feasible without scholarships. As a physician, I hope to one day ensure that children’s hearts continue to beat so they can chase their dreams—just as I have chased mine."

Each of these scholars embodies the spirit of our mission: seeking out education and excelling in their efforts. Their journeys remind us why supporting access to higher education is so vital and why our community’s investment in young talent makes a lasting impact.
